At Ocotillo Eyecare we are proud to provide our patients with a highly advanced and thorough comprehensive eye exam. We have introduced Digital Retinal Photography which is the latest technology in the early detection of eye health problems. We have also acquired a topographer which maps the shape of the cornea and improves the accuracy of contact lens fittings. The topographer is especially useful in fitting CRT lenses, these are contacts that are worn at night and correct your vision while you sleep. Digital Retinal Photography

We are concerned about retinal problems such as Macular degeneration, glaucoma, retinal holes, detachments, and diabetic retinopathy (all of which can lead to partial loss of vision or blindness). Additionally, systematic diseases such as diabetes and the effects of high blood pressure can be detected during a retinal exam. We request that all patients have a Digital Retinal Photographic Exam so we can view and record your retina up to 100 times its normal size. This additional procedure costs $29.00 and is not covered in a basic eye exam.

CRT Frequently Asked Questions
Will CRT® improve my vision better than traditional glasses or contacts?
The treatment results should equal the vision correction provided by traditional glasses or contacts. CRT is designed to temporarily treat nearsightedness (myopia) however studies suggest the possibility that wearing lenses such as CRT helps to slow or even stop the progression of nearsightedness. CRT may provide a solution that may not be available through the use of traditional glasses or daytime contacts.
How long does it take to start working?
Most patients see dramatic improvement in the first few days, with complete vision correction within 1-2 weeks.
