We at Ocotillo Eyecare are proud to provide our patients with a highly advanced and thorough comprehensive eye exam. We are introducing Digital Retinal Photography exams which is the latest technology in the early detection of eye health problems

DIGITAL RETINAL PHOTOGRAPHY

We are concerned about retinal problems such as macular degeneration, glaucoma, retinal holes, detachments, and diabetic retinopathy (all of which can lead to partial loss of vision or blindness).Additionally, systematic diseases such as diabetes and the effects of high blood pressure can be detected during a retinal exam. We request that all patients have a Digital Retinal Photographic Exam so we can view and record your retina up to 100 times its normal size. This additional procedure costs $24.00 and is not covered in a basic eye exam

You can expect from this exam:

-An annual eye wellness screening photograph

-An in-depth view of the retina (where diseases first manifest themselves)

-The ability for your doctor to review the images with you (we will show you your retina)

-A permanent record for your medical file, for serial analysis, comparison, and diagnosis.

- Typically eliminates the need for dilation
